Do you want to wish someone good luck? Then the Czech Mint prepared for you a silver medal with the traditional symbolism of an elephant which represents a valuable and original talisman.
Elephants, which are the largest land animals in the world, lead long lives in close-knit communities and can be both wise and mischievous, strong and gentle, kind and dangerous. Around the world, they are seen as a symbol of sovereignty, harmony and also happiness thanks to Asian religions. Hindus worship the elephant-headed god Ganesha, who is the remover of obstacles and the promoter of success. Buddhists, on the other hand, believe that before Buddha was reborn as a man, he lived on earth as a white elephant, and therefore consider the majestic octopus to be the bearer of inner peace and a sense of life fulfillment.
The medal maker Eva Prousková, DiS., depicted the elephant on both sides of the medal. She supplemented it with decorative ornaments that evoke the aesthetics of Eastern religions and the text SLON PRO ŠTÌSTÍ (LUCKY ELEPHANT).
The silver medal is stored in an elegant box.
