Wareneinschätzung:

The currency we use every day is made of paper or base metal. The Czech Mint commemorates its history that dates back to the times of the reign of Maria Theresa by the commemorative medal made of ten ounces of pure silver.

Maria Theresa came with a number of
reforms in order to turn the monarchy into a modern superpower and to encourage a stagnant economy. And because money plays a main role in the economy, the monetary system also had to be reformed. The Empress minted small coins of copper that did not have the value of precious metal, and so the first credit money was born, which meant only a step to paper money. It was concluded according to the respective government patents and banking designs that „Zahlungspapier“ payment vouchers were the very first paper money on our territory in 1759. The definitive paper money appeared three years later, which according to the inscription “Wiener-Stadt-Banco-Zettel ” began to be entitled bancozettel. It was not worth gold or silver, initially aroused distrust and it was severely hit by the state bankruptcy of the Austrian Empire in 1811, but we can not imagine life without them...

The obverse side of the commemorative medal was dedicated to
Maria Theresa, who was depicted by the academic painter Vladimír Pavlica. The inscription bears the name of the ruler, the life years 1717–1780 and the year of the issue 2019. Reverse side with an inscription THE FIRST MONEY FROM MARIA THERESA 1759 is then devoted to the circulation currency - both metal and paper.

Each medal includes a certificate of authenticity with a drawing of Vladimir Pavlica.
