Set of five coins commemorating the pearl of Russian architecture – the Crimea Vorontsov Palace. These lavishly embellished coins impress their admirers with precisely mapped images of the palace and its first owners – Mikhail Semyonovich Vorontsov and his wife, Elizabeth Branicka.
The charm of the collection is emphasized by a selectively gilded ornament characteristic for the 19th-century art. An insert which decorates the central coin of the set refers to the history of Elizabeth and Alexander Pushkin to whom she gave a ring with a carnelian stone. Already in the times of the Celts this stone was used in jewellery and was considered to have special powers protecting from dark forces.
It is the perfect talisman for people who according to the Mayan astrology were born under the sign of this stone.
